Hooked On Driving Adds Carolina Motorsports Park to 2012 Schedule!

Hooked On Driving (HOD) is pleased to announce the addition of events at Carolina Motorsports Park (CMP) for 2012. HOD is a National High Performance Driving Program, commonly known as a high performance driving experience (HPDE). For 2012 we will have over 100 events nationally running on a closed road race course. HOD will be at Carolina Motorsports Park March 10, 11 and June 22.

If new to driving on the track, the first morning session includes ground school with a Log Book, interspersed with a coach one on one, who rides in the passenger seat and teaches the driver high performance driving techniques. The initial "A Group" for beginning HPDE drivers, teaches smoothness, awareness, and driving a proper, safe and efficient line on track. A priority is also placed on learning car control skills such as late braking, proper shifting and understanding the concept of the apex of a turn. While A group has  passing restrictions to maintain a conservative pace, the B - Intermediate, C – Advanced/ Race-prepped groups have progressively more flexible passing rules and advanced level coaching if desired. There is lots of track time and Never any competition or wheel to wheel racing– in our programs. Hooked on Driving HPDE Programs are safe experiences for all, an enjoyable time for every driver – and to assure that our drivers come away with much more confidence in handling their car in an emergency situation. Hooked On Driving customers frequently are heard saying that they’ve had, "The time of their lives!”

The focus of the HPDE day is threefold:

1. Safety and good judgment on track at all times –
2. For everyone, regardless of run group and skill level, to have a great experience.
3. For all drivers to progress in skill from one day to the next.
Drivers will be on course approximately 2+ hours.

In the Southern States Region (GA., AL, SC, NC, VA.), HOD runs at tracks like Roebling Road Raceway (Savannah area), Virginia International Raceway (VIR), Atlanta Motorsports Park, VIR (Virginia International Raceway), Carolina Motorsports Park and others. We give drivers of performance, track prepped and street cars the opportunity to drive their cars on a race track.

Pricing varies from track to track with lunch included. Go to for more information and the complete listing of all events in the Southern States Region or contact or call us at 603-387-6730.
